How good of a doom player do you consider yourself?

You probably saw one of his unsuccessful attempts. Xit posted some both in the failed runs thread and on his Youtube account.

I don't know what to think. The demo I saw was "successful", which means it was finished. And it was amazing.

8.5. UV -fast is a nice challenge. Nightmare is more annoying than challenging (just stay dead, damn it!), though there's a few levels I just can't beat. I only use the BFG and SSG because they save ammo (and time), not because they're easier (which they're not - I find using only the pump gun (when there's enough shells) isn't any harder than using the more powerful weapons, it just takes longer).

I think I would remember if I had a successful attempt on that level. It is possible that you saw a TAS demo, or a demo on another map.
