Question about activating switches "through" the walls.

Can somebody explain why some switches are more difficult to press than others? For example, in doom.wad e3m6 it's very easy, but in ninadobrev.wad the wall "eats" your presses so you have to find the exact spot to avoid this "eating". Why it doesn't happen in e3m6?

She's hot.

You weren't supposed to be able to press the nina switch, because there's zero height between the switch and the sector the player is in, but Grazza just had to be "that guy". :)

Okay, I'll try to explain better. Take a look at this:

In both cases the player tries to press through the pink line. But it works only in e3m6. In nina that line "eats" your presses. Why?

The wall around the e3m6 switch doesn't block anything because the sector height isn't zero.

In nina, the ceiling of the sector around the switch has the same height as the floor of the sector that the switch is in (creating zero sector height), so it *should* block presses/sounds/etc. but it doesn't block a perfect press.
