Miscellaneous demos (part 2) [please post in part 3 instead]

Three demos this time for Wonderful Doom all for E1M1. I have a Pacifist in 0:14, respawn in 1:36 and NM100S in 0:57. These being my first attempts (well second but first map set to do them on) at a respawn and NM100S. They're all in the zip folder.

I was just playing this WAD and noticed that in GZDoom, there's a nice shortcut in MAP02 - doesn't work in PrBoom as far as I can tell, although maybe there's a compatibility option that would allow it to do so (I don't play in PrBoom). Attached is a quick demonstration.

^ Yeah, I know about that shortcut. :) In classic ports you can't walk on things so it is ZDoom-only.

Ohhhhh, I'll give them a shot and maybe a cheeky respawn run. Nitelife map01 respawn in 2:15. Lots of mistakes and in one of the runs I finished 1:53 with 96% kills, so in this one I decided to get as many as I could and went a bit overboard.

Biowar Map02 respawn in 1:38. I thought there was a thread for this but I couldn't find it. EDIT: Oh, silly me, I forgot it's complevel 2.

Kuchitsu map02 UV Speed in 0:56. I did awful in this but got my green key pick up escape right. I died at the end and landed on the boat.

100% secrets is possible, watch this. Demo also shows a little shortcut that you missed.
And cool trick in kuchitsu map02, didn't know it's possible.

Springy: as far as I can tell, all your attachments are 7z files that have been given the zip extension. They should actually be zip format, as well as being named that way. Please adjust your settings or use a different zipping tool.

Also, links to the wad are nice, especially when it isn't something very well known.

Okay, sorry about that will edit that post. Damn, does that mean I have to redo all my demo zip files? I'm not too familiar with zips it just seemed to work and upload when I put .zip at the end when packaging them, sorry.

No need to repackage existing files (unless you want to). But if things are more consistent, then it makes things easier for users of this forum.

You should be able to make zip files with 7zip - just tell it to make a zip file, rather than a 7z file. Or use WinZip, of course.

So, I was flicking through the DSDA and was pleasantly surprised to see demos for Hacx on there but disappointed due to the lack of demos (especially UV). So, here's a UV Max for Map03 in 6:04, not as fast as I like it too be but I plan to do a lot of UV Max demos for a long, forgotten IWAD. This requires 1.2.

This midi was also used in map29 from 3 Heures d'agonie and the readme for that wad says that it was taken from something called "Tides 2". However, I couldn't find a game or a movie of that name.

It's also in slaughterfest 2012 (map12 I think) but have no textfile information on the origins of the song either.
