DaniJ Posted June 18, 2007 I'm sure most people who say that said the same about XP when it was released. I dare say that in two years, most of us will be using Vista and looking back on XP in the same way we do Win95 today. 0 Share this post Link to post
Graf Zahl Posted June 18, 2007 I certainly won't install Vista on my current computer - and I still see some life left in it. 0 Share this post Link to post
kristus Posted June 18, 2007 I was under the influence that DX is the ruitines for D3D, and isn't really necessary for OpenGL. And I was told somewhere that DX9 only were used for something regarding the sound in Doom3. But I'm no programmer. 0 Share this post Link to post

Id Software wouldn't do that, though; at least not with Carmack still in charge of the engine. Name one id game since Doom that hasn't had a linux release. 0 Share this post Link to post
