fodders Posted November 26, 2002 In the last few hours DEBKAfile counter-terror sources report a heightened volume of traffic over the Arabic Internet forums frequented by al Qaeda and its partisans. Most of the last messages end: “The zero hour has come.” One particular release was aired three times today, all posted by “ARAMCO boy”. The last one to reach our sources was issued at 12:28 EST, 19:28 IST. ”Today, at 6:20 hours, there will be a surprise program, one of the most beautiful I have ever seen over our Qatari channel. Anyone who knows what I mean must tell no one so as to keep the surprise whose content everyone will love. Only God knows what I mean. The program forced me to write these lines at great speed and I ask God to forgive me and reserve Paradise and not Hell for me. The zero hour has come.” According to DEBKAfile’s sources, these messages may be red herrings designed to confuse and mislead outside monitors. However, the source who picked up the latest batch was the first to detect and correctly interpret at least two such enigmatic messages in recent months as presaging the re-appearance of Osama bin Laden and his lieutenant Ayman Zuwahri after many months out of sight. They were followed by pre-recorded statements over al Jazeera satellite TV. The timing too is suggestive: Thursday, November 28, is Thanksgiving Day in the United States. Also worth noting is that while messages over these forums usually draw responses, the one cited here went unanswered. 0 Share this post Link to post

Sephiroth Posted November 26, 2002 chances are it is a bluff or just talk. i dont they would have the balls to try something agian on american soil. if they do they have sealed their and their cause's fate. and certianly we would attack iraq and who ever else, if that happens i am sure a third world war could break out, or the stage set for one in the near future 0 Share this post Link to post
myk Posted November 26, 2002 Well, on my two machines there was this strange file on my startup folder that I noted was being copied from a similar one with another name in windows\system (each computer had files that were the exact same size - 49.5k - but all had different names, all EXEs)... maybe that was it? I deleted the latter files finally. I stopped the terrorists! By the way, how can I join these terrorist chatrooms? Must be fun... Anyway, those terrorists you believe in don't exist. Welcome to the real world. 0 Share this post Link to post
gatewatcher Posted November 26, 2002 fodders said:“ARAMCO boy" ARAMCO boy, eh? This threat cannot go unanswered by this great nation. It's time we sent in the best of the best, the finest of today's American youth to do battle with these Islamic extremists. Yes, ARAMCO boy's greatest enemy. We must dispatch, DooMBoy, to take out the threat stealthily, quickly, and with extreme prejudice. /me salutes DooMBoy 0 Share this post Link to post

Terrorists just need motivation. Personally I think it's odd that one of the biggest terrorist networks would announce its plans on an Internet forum. But then again, some of those terrorists are fucking dumbasses. 0 Share this post Link to post
AndrewB Posted November 26, 2002 None of Google's 4,000+ reliable news sites are carrying this story, therefore it is BSAURCT. I'm not saying that the U.S. won't be attacked again though. Sure we'll see more bombs and chemicals and WMD's going off, no doubt about that. 0 Share this post Link to post

IMJack Posted November 26, 2002 For some reason, I can't bring myself to take seriously a site that changes text colors every three lines. But we'll wait and see... I still say it's a catch-22. Bitching and moaning when intelligence does its job, bitching and moaning when intelligence can't do its job... You know what I'm sayin'. 0 Share this post Link to post

gatewatcher Posted November 27, 2002 Sephiroth said:lets bitch and moan, in a porn style! take it Mr. slave! Seph, what the hell?! =\ Anyway, I doubt there is anything really here to worry about. If we reversed the situation, I could log onto an American chat and say "Hey guys, guess what? I work for the CIA, and we are planning on grabbing Osama in few days. I'm not lying." The terrorists might take this semi-seriously, and maybe not. I could say this during Ramadan or whatever to really make them shit their pants. It's no different than saying "the zero hour" is on Thanksgiving. It's meant to create panic, Americans are just more paranoid than anyone else. That's my take on all this. 0 Share this post Link to post

Lord FlatHead Posted November 27, 2002 Well, nothing unusual happened so far. Today, at 6:20 hours, there will be a surprise program, one of the most beautiful I have ever seen over our Qatari channel. Maybe he was just talking about that hilarious Simpsons episode where Homer and Mr Burns got stuck in a mountain cabin together. Ahh... good times. 0 Share this post Link to post
fodders Posted November 29, 2002 Well I think the truck bombing in Africa killing Israelis and the simultaneous firing of 2 rockets at Israeli Airline was a pretty big moment, it didn't say the attacks would be in america. Three days after this message was received, two simultaneous terrorist attacks targeted Israelis in Mombasa, Kenya at a hotel and aboard an airliner. Three Israelis, including two young girls, were killed in a bomb blast that wrecked the Mombasa Paradise hotel and 80 were injured. The Arkia Boeing 757 escaped harm from two Strella missiles shot from a white minivan as it lifted off from Mombasa airport with 260 passengers. note: The Mombasa attacks like the Bali bombing targeted exotic tourist spots frequented by Western vacationers - focusing on Australians in the first and Israelis in the second. 0 Share this post Link to post
IMJack Posted November 29, 2002 If you're going for body count over symbolics, the day after Thanksgiving is a much better day for an attack than TK-Day itself. Considering there will be millions of Amerikaijin swarming shopping centers within a few short hours. A ripe grape to be squashed. Of course, it isn't terrorism any more. The American public is about as terrified as you can get without rioting on the streets. The press is doing an excellent job with this. Now its just guerilla warfare. 0 Share this post Link to post
