IMJack Posted November 27, 2002 Does anyone have any experience mucking around with the Windows Hosts file? Can anyone give me advice on getting this puppy to work properly? I think my wireless provider's inability to access an IP directory service is the reason the accursed thing doesn't work. 0 Share this post Link to post
Arioch Posted November 27, 2002 the format is ip hostname hostname hostname hostname for example 127.0.0.1 ads.doubleclick.net mediamgr.ugo.com goatse.cx simple. :) 0 Share this post Link to post
IMJack Posted November 27, 2002 New question: If there are multiple sites with different prefixes on the same server with the same IP, is there a shortcut so that one entry will get to all those sites? For example, River City High is on rivercityhigh.keenspace.com, and Sexy Losers is **********.keenspace.com, and I know they're at the same IP. 0 Share this post Link to post

The closest you can come is:ip rivercityhigh.keenspace.com sexylosers.keenspace.com 0 Share this post Link to post
