Ubik Posted May 1, 2003 It's bad to do anything to great excess, and it's even worse to abstain entirely out of fear and smugness. Moderation and occasional excess is where it's at, nigga! 0 Share this post Link to post

AndrewB Posted May 1, 2003 Well, there's certainly nothing idiotic about no-smoking policies in public places. 0 Share this post Link to post

doomedout Posted May 2, 2003 Little facts about binging: 1) Fucking smells. 2) Depressant. 3) Moderate drinking induces impulsiveness. 4) False sense of calm. 5) Alleviation of Tension. 6) Excessive drinking induces aggression. 7) Long term alcohol fucks the liver. 8) Great social tool. 9) Temporary source of entertainment. 10) Leading cause of accidents. 11) Was once prohibited in USA (consumption), as time progressed, like most values, alcohol distribution and consumption was not only condoned but slowly accepted. Disorder Posted May 2, 2003 I honestly don't want to grow really old (60-100). I'm aware of the bad side-effects of alcohol, yet in weekends I drink a lot. I've vomited a couple of times due to heavy drinking but I simply don't care. Lack of selflove? Perhaps. But growing old is just something that I dislike. 0 Share this post Link to post
toxicfluff Posted May 2, 2003 Ubik: I completely agree with your point on excess and abstination through fear. You often find that fear and lack of relevant experience is a reason that certain things are looked badly upon by people. There is a kind of mistrust that goes along with a lack of experience I think. Personally, I think it's good to have a wide range of experiences (in all areas of life), even if some of them seem a little scary or daunting. 0 Share this post Link to post
