Awesome function

Recommended Posts

Okay... Awesome is a big word.

Edit: you didn't say polar coordinates. But, um, my version looks like the mountains of Phobos in the E1 sky texture. Yeah.

yeah radians and polar coordinates are important

EDIT: Wrote a quick TI83+ program to display this

:Menu("OPTS","WEED",A,"UNWEED",B)
:Lbl A
:Radian
:Polar
:"(1+sin(θ))*(1+.9*cos(8θ))*(1+.1*cos(24θ))*(.9+.05*cos(200θ))"→r6
:ZoomFit
:DispGraph
:Stop
:Lbl B
:Func
:Degree
:ZStandard
:""→r6
:ClrHome
This is basically so I can quickly generate or clear it completly so I can show my friends and not my math teacher :)

(yes I know its shit code, but its TIBasic, what do you expect?)

This must mean that marijuana is part of the greater plan of the universe, with such an orderly equation leading to its form ;)

heh actually everything in nature is mathematical, this one is just provoking and more interesting. You could probably find a function for a maple leaf, but people wouldnt be shocked by it and care as much :P

Shocking and provoking? I dunno about that.

Not for me but for a lot of people. My point is, what will get more attention:

a) "Wow check it out! I can graph a pot leaf on my calculator!"

or

b) "Wow check it out! I can graph a maple leaf on my calculator!"
