Music WIPs

Recommended Posts

Decided to show some music that I've been working on for the past few months to see if what I'm working on is any decent. The demo contains 3 tracks with a total running time of 11 mins 50 secs. 160kbps so the download isn't huge. They are works in progress though, so the mixes aren't so great. Upgrading my monitors/speakers very soon though so that will really help there.

I'd appreciate any comments or feedback on them. :)

Download from Team DRD files

Just a quick note, please don't use the tracks in any wads or mods. I have my own plans for them.

I've been making a parody lounge music mixtape for the last couple months. They're all recorded on my cell phone at various pianos in New York City.

It's all via request and composed, sung, and played by me. The count is up to 23.

Pretty cool stuff, has a definite eerie ambient feel to it. The piano part in "Chess Piece" almost reminded me of "Something I Can Never Have" from NIN. "Certitude" is my favorite, but also feels like it needs something pulsing or moving in the bass line. That might just be personal preference, though :)

You have a good singing voice man. Is that the riff from "Powerhouse" I hear in "Down In The Park"?

And to contribute... here's a song I wrote for a Community Compilation CD that'll be released soon. Not exactly WIP, but the album that'll be on is.

Really good voice, IMO.

They are very nice. But can you really claim "composer" when you didn't write them? It's all covers. You didn't mention that.

I'll contribute.

I've been working on a music project called Ethpi for a while now. Below is a mostly finished second act. It's 18mins long.

Interesting music. You have been working on that for some time, what are your plans for it?

Pretty neat work. Shame about the recording quality though, but I imagine that's part of the aim of the project.

Thanks for the feedback. :) Certitude does sound a little flat at points imo, but I'm not sure if that's such a bad thing.

Great track, got a lot of atmosphere. Best of luck with your album btw. :)

I did mention parody above, and yes--while I didn't write the words I composed all the music.
