Macro11_1 Posted August 23, 2010 Hmm, ok... lets see... PC -- Might and Magic 6 or 7, I just enjoy it so much... nostalgia be damned. Nes -- Fantasy Zone, because I used to own that game and it gave me my love of shmups today. Sega -- So many good games, to be honest it would have to be Beyond Oasis, the story of Thor... I want to play the Sega Saturn sequel so badly!! It was this game or Blaster Master 2. Snes -- Hm, honestly, I grew up with a sega... so this system I don't remember playing very much of even though I downloaded alot of roms... though Secret of evermore seems to stick out in my mind as the best thing I ever played on it.(it was awesome) N64 -- Oh boy, Perfect Dark? No... I really loved Ogre Battle 64, I loved that game even more when I played it on an emulator with frame skip enabled. :P Playstation -- Final Fantasy Tactics, the game may be easy... but leveling all the different characters was just so much fun, and despite its translation flaws, I loved the story line and dialogue :P Game Cube -- Oh man, honestly this system had SO MANY GOOD GAMES too! (as you can tell I grew up with this system and I am also a bit biased towards Nintendo products.) But to narrow it down to two games, it would have to be a tie between Eternal Darkness : Sanity's Requiem... and F-Zero GX(the prime series being a close third) Wii -- Honestly, at the moment it would have to be Super Mario Galaxy, hands down. I can't think of any other game that I have played and enjoyed nearly as much so far (still have yet to play the sequil though...and there are other games like Metroid other M i'm looking forward to) Card Game -- I really enjoy Magic The Gathering : Planechase MTG : Archenemy. Board Game -- Hero Quest, yes... awesome... planing on making my own custom version of this. Good thread, it was like a trip down memory lane for me. 0 Share this post Link to post

deathbringer Posted August 24, 2010 PC: Doom/2 Playstation: Colony Wars (though i played heaps of Doom and GTA on it too Colony wars was more exclusive). Or maybe FF7. Or Runabout 2. Playstation 2: Vice City Xbox 360: Only ever played GTA 4 on it, and got bored to death after 2 missions. Game Boy: Asteroids. or maybe James Bond... but i could never beat it. GBA: Er... Doom. PSP: Liberty City Stories, i have other games for it but only really ever play that! Megadrive: Oooh... Sonic 3 & Knuckles. Or maybe Zero Tolerance. Used to play the ass off Virtua Racing too. And there's probably others i've forgotten. SNES: FF6. Also Starwing was great. N64: Goldeneye. Or Lylat wars. Master System: Terminator. NES: Er... Final Fantasy 3? All half an hour or so i played of it. BBC: The Repton series, or Citadel. Or Galaga. Hmm, i'm indecisive, and i hardly ever play any videogames now except Doom. And i've probably forgotten my actual favourites when i did play these things. Oh and also i didn't own some of those consoles just played them around my friend's or with an emulator. 0 Share this post Link to post
Shaikoten Posted August 24, 2010 +1 for James Bond for Gameboy. Great game, although relatively unknown. Also something inside me wants to change my answer for PS1 to Tekken 3. 0 Share this post Link to post
E.J. Posted August 24, 2010 I wouldn't consider the category of "PC" to be good for the entire history of IBM compatibles. At the very least I would subdivide it into these 2 categories: PC DOS PC Windows Or even 3: PC DOS/MDOS PC Windows 9X PC Windows NT And where's the Apple/Mac love...? I didn't have one, but a few people I knew did. 0 Share this post Link to post
Jodwin Posted August 24, 2010 E.J. said:And where's the Apple/Mac love...? Since when do they deserve love? :P If I were to split PC into parts, I'd probably say DOS: Doom 9x-era: Age of Empires 2 2001-2005: There's a couple of good ones here, but really nothing that stands above the rest. I'll say Morrowind for now. 2006-2010: Trine Also, arcade: Melty Blood Actress Again 0 Share this post Link to post

Phobus Posted August 27, 2010 I'll go with the ones I played the most, as having a definitive favourite is quite difficult: PC - Doom II Nintendo SNES - Donkey Kong Country 2 N64 - Mario Kart 64 GameCube - Soul Calibur 2 Wii - Wii Sports Gameboy(pocket/colour) - Pokemon Red Sony PS2 - Midnight Club 2 PS3 - CoD: Modern Warfare 2 Microsoft XBox 360 - Guitar Hero: World Tour Though if we were to rack up total hours played for each game series across all systems the top 10 would probably look something like (in a rough approximation of order): Doom Need For Speed Guitar Hero SOCOM: US Navy Seals Call of Duty Midnight Club Mario Grand Theft Auto Donkey Kong TimeSplitters 0 Share this post Link to post
