Ralphis Posted March 19, 2011 Not really that close, just shares the same three generic chords from the beginning 0 Share this post Link to post
Kirby Posted March 19, 2011 What Ralphis said. The similarity is between 1:46 - 2:20 and thats about it. The rest of the song doesn't remind me of it at all. 0 Share this post Link to post
Enjay Posted March 19, 2011 But familiar enough that you guys knew what he meant. ;) 0 Share this post Link to post
Maes Posted March 19, 2011 Well for that reason, there is a song similar to Duran Duran's "Save a prayer" that has a melody passage that sounds a lot like parts of D_E1M5 (depends on the timbre set, but the Adlib/SB FM one comes the closest). Can't remember the title even though I hear it often on the local radio >< 0 Share this post Link to post
Aliotroph? Posted March 19, 2011 That section in the middle had me wanting to kill imps. :D On the topic of music that sounds like game music: vs 0 Share this post Link to post

Bucket Posted March 19, 2011 There are plenty of coincidental chord changes on songs, even uncommon ones. Listen to the opening chords here, Now listen to 3:20 here, And listen to 4:40 here. 0 Share this post Link to post
Marnetmar Posted March 19, 2011 I see the resemblence you're pointing out, I think it's false. However, the drum track has a resemblance to E1M1, but that's a pretty generic drum track. E1M1's drum track: http://www.mediafire.com/?i13ea64c6koy8sd 0 Share this post Link to post
