Joe Alaskey dead at 63

For those who don't know, he was the voice behind Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Marvin Martian, and several other iconic cartoon characters.

Holy fuck at this rate literally everyone who isn't in their youth will be dead by next year. A damn shame - rest in peace.

It's weird to imagine that being the voice of a character is a torch to be passed. Or that a creation of someone can outlive they themselves. At the very least, Alaskey lives on through his work. Even if it is just a silly cartoon rabbit, it's a far better thing to be remembered by and visited than a lonely headstone.

Of course he wasn't the original voice actor of Bugs Bunny but since he was the only remaining one it is a damn shame, RIP.

Shame he died.

But Mel Blanc was the voice behind those characters (RIP 1989), Joe was his successor.

Well shit. 63 is kinda early to go.
