Isaac Clarke, from the original Dead Space game. He never talked and reminded me a lot of Doomguy. That whole game was very much like Doom 3, actually. Great stuff. Dead Space 2 and 3 didn't do anything for me though. The original was far scarier.

In terms of being well written, interesting and relatable, Niko Bellic for sure.

In terms of their awesome various abilities and such:

Doomguy (IDC what the manual says, I couldn't run at 57mph, especially not while holding a big ass 60+ pound BFG..)

Plenty of others too, I love characters with sweet abilities that aren't overtly overpowered. On a side note, I'd love an FPS that took the idea of Smash Bros - combining IPs from a bunch of shooter franchises - and having them go toe to toe. Kind of like an AAA version of Samsara but with even more characters.
