I remember thinking so when playing Max Payne 3 and figured the game may have been extrapolating a bit. But the reality seems worse. Wasn't Max Payne 3 in São Paulo? 0 Share this post Link to post
Master O Posted August 6, 2016 Another Olympics, Same Result: The US at the top of the Gold Medal and Overall Medals Counts, while the Dream Team wipes the floor with everyone at basketball. 0 Share this post Link to post
DoOmEr4LiFe Posted August 6, 2016 I love the Olympics and watch them with fanatical zeal. I know Rio and Brazil greater have been going through massive political, social and economic upheaval before the games and will continue to do so after they are done. I can only hope that they bring the people of Rio a much welcomed respite from all that even if it's only temporary. It's just kind of sad that it has become so expensive to host them. I'm not usually an optimist, but I do buy into the whole "Olympics bring people together through the spirit of competition" mantra. 0 Share this post Link to post

And optimists are usually the first ones to be severely disappointed. Pessimism is the better life choice because you won't be surprised when things go wrong, which they do more than 90% of the time. 0 Share this post Link to post

With the exchange rate I guess it would be something around 12.5 billion dollar. 0 Share this post Link to post

Handball is brutal and the air time on some shots is crazy. The first match of the ladies' tournament was exciting, hopefully the Norwegian valkyries can return the favour to Brazil in the finals. That said, the sports events won me over throughout the first day, heh. The cycling race was the hardest and most exciting I've seen at the Olympics. Shame about Nibali crashing when he was poised to win, but it led to van Avermaet and Fuglsang's awesome time trial-style chase just before the finish line. And swimming is just sexy, watching Mack Horton and glorious Katina Hoszu wrest the glory from Chinese cheaters makes my day brighter. Also that last shot of the Vietnamese pistol shooter when the entire place was booing at him, because he could still lose to a Brazilian, that was ice fucking cold. So yeah, all the pessimism is washed away, I'm enthused. I do have to say I was cringing hard when Brazil of all countries preached about ecology during the opening event, heh. All it needed was a Petrobras sponsor logo or something. 0 Share this post Link to post

Because of its obvious similarity to Basketball, the NBA has probably sabotaged any movement to make Team Handball more popular in the US. 0 Share this post Link to post
dew Posted August 7, 2016 Wow, a huge heartbreak for Murca in the women's cycling race, the single escapee overtaken by three chasers literally tens of metres before the finish line. 0 Share this post Link to post

MortisCausaDonatio Posted August 9, 2016 This event will be a nail in Rio's coffin. maybe. See how the olimpic affected on Greece. anyway. Olimpic never interested me. But its satisfying to see the archievements of my country. 0 Share this post Link to post
Jaxxoon R Posted August 11, 2016 I played the DS version of Winter Olympics for a bit, but otherwise I can't say I've ever really held much interest in the Mario & Sonic series. 0 Share this post Link to post
