Sound Card Non-Functional

Yesterday, it was working fine. Today, no music, sound, whatsoever. What gives?

Is it guaranteed to work on Saturdays?

It's supposedly guaranteed to work every day of the week, but not so today, it seems. :(

Try opening your computer and moving it to a different slot.

Heh, I may give that a try. Either that, or get a new sound card, and I ain't got no bread for a new sound card.

On a couple occasions my speakers didn't work all day, but did the next, strangely enough.

That's not really much help, though.

one day, my soundcard was very happy. then i plugged some 'peakers into it and accidently shifted soundcard in the pci slot. Very bad things happened, even after a few reboots. Open him up and re-posistioned everything, and it worked out. If your card still doesn't work in a new slot it might be time to fish out the 'ol wallet.

Maybe your Windows settings got fucked around with.

I have that same problem, except it is my network card and it doesn't work at all and...oh wait, that's not the same...
