Merry Widow

What is the weirdest name you gave a pet?

Recommended Posts

I have a really, really fat cat (so fat that its belly hits the floor when it walks) that I sometimes call "Fat ass" or "fatso." Its real name is Lizzie though.

Never had the privilege to name a pet myself. I've met some with some interesting names though - Robespierre, for starters. Knowing myself, my pets would probably all wind up with names based on historical figures and scientists or something stupid like that.

My brother-in-law's dog has awful gas, so I nicknamed him Farticus.

My sister's dog gets a bunch of racist names like Big Black Negress and The Dahkness.

We have a long lasting tradition of naming our cats Ralph. Both, so far, were female.

I sort of owned a cat called Stalker.

Technically not my pet, but he spent so much time wondering into my house, occupying the furniture and then refusing to leave until he had a bowl of milk that I considered him a resident. I knew his owner and that's how how knew his name, but I never found out whether his title had any connection to the novel/film/game.

Named one of my hamsters Ponda Baba. His face reminded me of the Star Wars character.

Your hamster looks like he has a pair of bollocks for a chin?

Poor hamster.

I have a cat named Phone (meaning part of the word, Głoska in Polish). Maybe because her mews are about 0,2 of a second long and it sounds like a single "e!" We also used to have a guinea pig that was usually called Mother.
