Go # It - TESTERS NEEDED!

From the name, the idea is to make maps heavily inspired by Go 2 It (MAP32) from Plutonia. Just as Go 2 It was inspired by MAP01 from Doom 2, you must choose a map for the base of your map's inspiration.

Rules

- This is not a slaughtermap, I'm not asking for 700, 900 or more monsters in your map. Make sure your map is playable with some places to hide, yes make it hard, but not so much.

- I'm not asking for insanely huge maps. Just make a good map with big numbers of monsters (Over 250 is great). Besides, I'm aiming for a vanilla-compatible wad.

- The IWAD is Final Doom: Plutonia.

- You can choose any map from any of the 4 IWADs to be your inspiration, I prefer small maps to choose, but if you're comfortable with bigger ones, you can choose them.

- Maximum slots for this wad is 11.

- Map ordering will be based on the inspired maps you chose, and on the same ordering of the 4 IWADs. Like this:
Doom --> Doom 2 --> Final Doom: TNT --> Final Doom: Plutonia
For example, if 2 maps were inspired by MAP05 and MAP08 from Doom 2, the MAP05 comes first. And if they were from different IWADs, the older IWAD comes first.

I'm already behind on 2 maps as it is, which is shame because I wouldn't mind contributing to this as it seems like a neat idea. I'd do E4M8 myself.

It'd take me alot of time to build the map because I'm in the army so I'm usually at home once a week or two so I'll have about 6 hours every week or two to work on my map.

Not a problem. I don't need a huge map. As for the name, I suggest changing it to something related to MAP24 (related to a band as MAP24's name "The Final Frontier" is the name of a band too).

I've changed the map I'm inspired from :D I prefer to use wormhole as my inspiration.
The map doesn't have to look similar to the original right?

Nope, just use some of the inspiration. Go look at Go 2 It, the map used some of MAP01 places (nearly all) from Doom 2, added new areas and connected some parts together. MAP04 will be the "base" for your map.

How about "Go Worm It"?

No deadline? Jeez, a lot of cool projects have been popping up around.

I'll put my foot in the door. "Go With It" Map02 of Doom2.

I've started working on "Go Worm It", the first hall is done.
I'll probably wormhole it twice, unlike the original map I wanna make the same area 3 times- in the past, in the present and in the future.
Now I'm working on a new outdoor area and some special paths that gonna connect between parts of the original map.

I've added everyone.

Yes, post some screenshots while you're building your map.

As I said I won't be able to map for two weeks.
I've finished the first hall of my map so far including brightness, monsters&ammo.
There are 40 monsters at the moment but the only weapons available are limited amount of shotgun shots and berserk so it should take a while to clear the room (not to mention that an arch vile or two will make some troubles later on).
At least I'll be able to plan the next parts of my map in these two weeks.

Would I still be able to do this if I don't have Final Doom? Maybe someone could "Plutonify" it when I'm finished or something.

It will be a bit hard to map without Plutonia, let's see how your map turns out at first.

Slots are full right now, if more people liked this project, I think I'll increase the slots.

I'm expecting to hear a bunch of "I Already Know About id" remixes.
