Memfis Posted March 2, 2014 I think that brown rock texture (is it called "MUD"?) is not good for very long or tall walls. It is way too uniform and just doesn't look nice or convincing when repeated many times. Something with more pronounced rocks would work better imo. 0 Share this post Link to post

I didn't follow that advice, and my map suffered. Unless an 'epic journey' is integral to your level, I'd recommend truncating it off into a two/three levels. It's harsh at first, but after a day mulling over the linedefs the inspiration will come back.
