Murder impulse

Recommended Posts

Has anyone ever noticed how in any American drama or film, they never take the bad guy alive? He or she is always killed, usually after one ridiculous "surprise" lunge for a gun. I don't think I've ever seen one survive the last five minutes of the film. America, where killing someone is the only way to resolve something.

EDIT: And before anyone thinks I'm anti-America, I'm not. British films tend to be nastier, gorier, more violent, and there's always a character who, very early into the film, says "Fuck!" really loud then keeps repeating it. There are way too many F-bombs in British cinema.
