Plenty of scandals over there apparently. There was sold salt for melting ice on roads instead of normal salt for quite a while. I don't recall other ones though.

Makes me think twice before taking another bite off my Alpinella and Terravita Polish chocolates....

czech market is flooded with cheap polish food and whenever one of these scandals appears, these people are shocked and afraid for their health. well, why do you think that food is so cheap?

another favourite of mine: "tenderized" (chicken) meat, which means it's pumped full of water and frozen.

Yikes! That's pretty scary and I wonder if they actually ate it by accident. It's just as bad as all of the past cases of razor blades found in candy.

More advanced spambots try to pass of as human by posting stuff that should fit the context. Usually, they do this by copying the content of a post made previously by another forum member, so the spam attempt is detectable as well.

Heh, I recall that not even 5-6 years ago, the most advanced "context sensitive" ads would simply pretend to have links for ANYTHING you had typed in a search engine.

E.g. you typed "cholera-diseased rotten corpses"? You would inevitably see several "Click HERE for the BEST OFFERS on cholera-diseased rotten corpses!" or "Buy your cholera-diseased rotten corpses HERE!" links, making you wonder at how specific needs marketing could cover. Ofc they couldn't possibly have a legitimate link for everything, so in most cases you'd get just a generic cybersquatter's domain, or an "Oops! We couldn't anything find cholera-diseased rotten corpses,, but you can check our other offers...." link.
