Vegeta Posted July 8, 2002 I'm looking for a wad or mod that get use of all the special features of ZDOOM. What is the best of them? 0 Share this post Link to post
fen boi Posted July 8, 2002 they don't use all the features, but what they do use are applied neatly. take a look at kurt keslers kzdoom series (polyobjects, slopes, coloured lighting, particles) and ma_sincity by ed c. (sp?) which is a great looking map. Can't think of many more that really use zdoom that much. 0 Share this post Link to post

ReX Posted July 9, 2002 Vegeta said:I'm looking for a wad or mod that get use of all the special features of ZDOOM.As fen boi pointed out, no single wad or wad set uses all of ZDooM's features. However, there are several that use most of the significant ones -- scripting, slopes, deep water, simulated floor-over-floor structures, cameras, electrified fences, force fields, laser barriers, "true" elevators, 3D bridges, slippery floors, wind, oversize textures, etc. Here are a few (including those mentioned above): Ethan Watson aka GooberMan's DooM Arcade Nigel Rowand's NJTrain & NJThief1 Tarin's demo wad: acsstuff Jack Vermeulen's XTheater Kurt Kessler's KZDooM series Bryant Robinson's Dark7 and Mission Pack Tommy "Fatal" Quick's TQTrust Mike "Cyb" Watson's The Adventures of Massmouth Tomi Rajala's Hell Factory I've done a few too, inluding: The Darkest Hour (7 level Star Wars/Dark Forces total conversion) Temple of the Ancients (5 level Quake2/3A partial conversion) Paranoia (5 level Half-life total graphics conversion) 0 Share this post Link to post
ReX Posted July 13, 2002 Of course, one of the earliest and better known ZDooM levels was Tei Tenga. 0 Share this post Link to post
