j4rio: what is it? Rhythmic noise?

Yeah, it's rhythmic noise or power noise, as some prefer to call it. I uploaded few albums of terrorfakt here and here, there's a plenty more stuff available though. There's enourmous amount of stuff uploaded under account of "D.Pooly" who is also rhythmic noise musician.

I eventually learned to genuinely enjoy shit like this.

Thanks memfis, now I know I'll spend most of the night watching these kind of videos.

It's like Tyler the Creator and Riff Raff fucked.

This entire thread is sad, and now I'm reminded of Freaxxx. In the words of Trent Reznor, "I'm gonna burn this whole world down".

My go-to picks aren't as terrible as some of the trash that's already been posted (maybe a good thing?)

CRABCORE! Not as unrepentantly awful as Design The Skyline but way funnier.

Arianny Celeste - Fight to Love Me
A UFC ring girl decides to try to break into the music industry by drawing on her immense experience gained from walking in a circle holding a sign while wearing a bikini.
(lots of cheese cake softcore shots in the video, NSFW)

Amusingly, it appeared that whatever soulless, anonymous producer that actually created the song ripped off someone else.

I've predominately listened to the same genres I've liked since I was a teenager. I was never a fan of the douche-heavy mallcore bands of the 2000s, or emo. I don't even know what's popular in terms of contemporary "rock music" anymore.

Side note: You know emo is definitely dead, because you rarely see it used as a disparaging term that frequently anymore.

CRABCORE!

It would seem this thread keep going full circle back to the 'true era of myspace'.

Attack Attack!, Blood on the Dance Floor, Brokencyde, Asking Alexandria, Design the Skyline....

All the 'Rawr look at me i screem so br00tal on top ov mi synthz'n'chugz' music.

I feel a certain level of irony since I actually like the majority of the Post-Hardcore music scene.

@Kontra Kommando - the latest in the heavy 'scene' as it were is the term 'djent', which is admittedly getting stale. You may find some stuff you like.. or not.

I haven't heard of djent until your post, but judging from this video; I prefer shredding guitar playing better.

EDIT: I've always preferred fast and aggressive, over slow and brooding.

My go-to response for threads like this is Chainmale's "Freakout".

Rather discordant intro, timing is way off with the chorus, lyrics are basically non-existent... Subjectively, I kind of like it for being so charismatic while being so bad, but it does a lot of things objectively wrong.

Spoiler

I'm stuck between loving this and hating this...it's a stupid ass song...but the way I discovered it makes it hilarious for me.

I was watching a porno of some bachelorette party in a private club setting and the male stripper started to place his penis inside of this chick's vagina. After a gratuitous amount of pelvic thrusting, it was getting closer to that magical moment between focusing on your computer screen and feeling so ashamed of yourself. Anyhow, it was at that moment that I noticed this song being played by the DJ in the video. I began laughing uncontrollably at the absurdity of the lyrics. My arousal came to a screaching halt and I gave up. Here is that song.

Now this...well...just listen.

Last and probably least.

I know, but I thought it was still worth a mention. I love good bad songs and movie's.

Then I suggest watching Freddy Got Fingered or Pultrygeist.

Any music that doesn't successfully communicate emotion is bad, no matter the craftmanship. This can happen to any musician though so you shouldn't beat on people for not managing to do right. Whereas great songs can come from anywhere, people with experience in the craft will most of the time be more consistent in the output due to a better arrangement and production. This can strike both ways though, making people to hung up the production forget the actual song they wanted to convey, thus making shit.

I actually kind of like that past the opening whatever the fuck you call that, but that music video is hilariously awful. Regardless, Beartooth was/is(?) better. Unless they're playing live and out of breath.
