Rich Posted December 1, 2003 If it's a doom2 demo then: doom2 -file scythe.wad -playdemo (name of demo minus the .lmp suffix) Note: The scythe.wad and demo must be in your doom2 folder. 0 Share this post Link to post
DEMOn Posted December 1, 2003 I assume you are downloading from http://www.doomworld.com/sda/scythe.htm . The .wad files are the maps. The .lmp files are the demos. As Rich said, you can playback the demo with doom2 -file scythe.wad -playdemo <demoname> (with no .lmp on the end) You can download Scythe demos directly from: http://competn.doom2.net/pub/sda/p-s/ http://competn.doom2.net/pub/sda/p-s/sc_lmps.zip is a good one to start with. Let me know if that doesn't work for you. 0 Share this post Link to post
Vile Posted December 1, 2003 I'm surprised Ryback never uploaded his -fast run over map30. 0 Share this post Link to post
Ryback Posted December 1, 2003 I did. It's in the pack. You've just got to search a bit... (hint: one of the demos doesn't work.) 0 Share this post Link to post
grutsch Posted December 1, 2003 this works... i run winxp and it is kinda slow. i tried zdoom with the same commands but there is an error message: sth like v1.9 does not support demos. Is there another win port, which works good with demos? 0 Share this post Link to post
Little Faith Posted December 1, 2003 Zdoom will only play back demos recorded with Zdoom. 0 Share this post Link to post
Opulent Posted December 1, 2003 use Prboom or Eternity if you are stuck using WindowsXP. 0 Share this post Link to post
Erik Posted December 1, 2003 hmm, /me fails to find the map30 -fast in the pack. 0 Share this post Link to post
Ryback Posted December 2, 2003 Further hint: the demo that doesn't work isn't listed in playall.bat (someone's going to get this eventually!) 0 Share this post Link to post
