Outpost Recon Released

It's currently in /newstuff, but it's my first release in over 7 years.

If I had DB when I was doing Insertion with the rest of the Insertion team, man oh man.

Nothing too fancy. Just getting to learn Doom Builder. But I'm pretty happy with it.

Hopefully it will be in this week's /Newstuff Chronicles.

I tried playing it. There was a severe lack of ammo.

Otherwise it was okay. :)

What skill did you play it on?


Also, just because you see monsters in the beginning, doesn't mean you should take them out at first. :)

The stats text file indicates difficulty, so you do have to use your ammo wisely.

I was testing some XG lines and sector tags in JDoom, and to be perfectly honest -- I screwed up and forgot about them. I wanted to remove them. Uh. Crap.

I'll remove them now and re-submit. Shit.

No, it just gave a big fat warning in the WAD checker I ran the level through. Most ports either completely ignore invalid sector types or treat them as Boom extended types. I was just curious what it meant.

I appreciate that catch, though.

I had JDoom scroll the sector flat from N to S and then attributed wind for the current. I was just farting around, and forgot about it.
