Ralphis Posted December 28, 2009 Ralphis has posted the official Action Doom 2: Urban Brawl Official Soundtrack for download on his new work-in-progress website. The new website will include much of the music that he has contributed to Doom projects over the years, as well as unrelated works. The Urban Brawl soundtrack has been posted in both single track format and a torrent package. If you can spare the bandwidth, please help seed the torrent, if only for a day or two. The soundtrack can be accessed from the music page. 0 Share this post Link to post
Scuba Steve Posted December 29, 2009 Really great stuff, Ralphis, I forgot how great many of the tracks were for this project. When I get home next week, I'll have to link to your page from the main UB website. 0 Share this post Link to post
Khorus Posted December 29, 2009 Awesome. :) I ripped the soundtrack out of the wad as soon as I finished my first play through AD2 it's that good. 0 Share this post Link to post
Deeforce Posted December 29, 2009 AC2 and AC2 Soundtrack? I'm lovin' it :-P ! 0 Share this post Link to post
Creaphis Posted December 29, 2009 Awesome. When AD2 came out I ripped these tunes from the game files so that I could listen to them on their own. I've never done that with the music from any other Doom mod. That reminds me: I put Action Doom 2 on my Christmas list and nobody got it for me. Looks like I'll have to buy it myself. 0 Share this post Link to post
Patrick Posted December 29, 2009 I actually used that jukebox thing in the full version to listen to the soundtrack. This is some good stuff. 0 Share this post Link to post
Bashe Posted December 29, 2009 Very good stuff. I miss when games had catchy tunes like this. It makes me want to take my status as a midi musician further into the world and make some fun tunes like this. 0 Share this post Link to post
Texas Libra Posted December 29, 2009 Is it just me or is the casino music missing? 0 Share this post Link to post
Creaphis Posted December 29, 2009 I downloaded this by torrent so I could help seed. But for some reason my share ratio is stuck at 0.000! So not only did I steal "phis," but this whole album too. Shame on me. 0 Share this post Link to post
Ralphis Posted December 29, 2009 I left out the Casino music because it wasn't an original composition of mine, just the jazz standard "All of Me". 0 Share this post Link to post
TimeOfDeath Posted December 29, 2009 Uh, why is this in the Doomworld News section? 0 Share this post Link to post
Creaphis Posted December 29, 2009 Just finished listening to the whole set. This really is game composition at its finest. It's always musically interesting, yet it can also just loop forever and be a backdrop to the game's action without demanding too much attention. That and the reappearing themes turn this game into some sort of modern comic opera. Resident composers: take note. 0 Share this post Link to post

HackNeyed Posted December 29, 2009 This is very good news! I'll grab the torrent and see what I can do. Thanks Ralphis! 0 Share this post Link to post
lupinx-Kassman Posted December 29, 2009 Awesome, I always thought the music in AD2 was superb. 0 Share this post Link to post

Phml Posted December 29, 2009 I ripped the soundtrack out of the wad as soon as I finished my first play through AD2 it's that good. Ditto. 0 Share this post Link to post
Vile Posted December 31, 2009 Awesome, I threw this on my Sansa really quick before I went to work. :P 0 Share this post Link to post
destx Posted January 1, 2010 Why didn't you just link directly to the music page? 0 Share this post Link to post
Phobus Posted January 3, 2010 Only one problem here - the .mp3 for Final (Phylex boss music) says its 5 minutes or so long, when it appears to really be only 3:40 or so. Other than that, I enjoyed the music and will keep that in my regular shuffling collection. 0 Share this post Link to post
Ralphis Posted January 3, 2010 If you downloaded the torrent on the day it was released, the torrent on the site was updated about two hours afterword so if you redownload the torrent you can get the few fixed tracks that had silence after them. 0 Share this post Link to post
sykeshot Posted January 20, 2010 Action Doom 1 was something... but by all means, I think in my head pictures, I came back to Urban Brawl often because of the music...it's like Co-CAH-een without even noticing it...weird stuff man. O.O 0 Share this post Link to post
stewboy Posted January 20, 2010 Listening to these gives me the impression that many would do well in a puzzle/platformer game. Which maybe Action Doom 2 was, in some ways. 0 Share this post Link to post
