Doom Builder 2 crashes in Windows 7

Recommended Posts

Running in compatibility mode and with admin rights doesn't help. The main time it crashes is if I try to change the textures for a room but I've also had it crash if I try to save a file more than once without closing Doom builder. This is on a clean install of DB2 as well.

Edit: I guess it might be useful to specify this is a request for help from someone who might know a way to fix this.

Apparently it can't be run in XP Mode. The Virtual PC can't take video drivers and Doom builder needs a 3d rendering device.....

Why are you running it in a VM?
Doom Builder 2 is 100% Win7 compatible. I'm using it in Win 7 x64.

Try downloading the program again and uninstall/reinstall. Are you using an admin account when installing the program? Also try updating your drivers.

Oops, I forgot this topic existed. It's working just fine now, I have absolutely no clue what the issue was in the first place. I didn't even reinstall it or anything either. And the XP Mode thing was to try to get it to work when it was crashing in normal 7.
