How to load custom wads in Gzdoom.exe

I am currently creating my own Doom TC and it's totally different from Doom. Is there any way I can load my wad file in GZdoom <mywad.wad> without the requirement of Doom2.wad or anything, just my wad on its own? But I do own Doom2 as such.

You can use the -iwad command line parameter from a command prompt. The custom IWAD has to have stuff that makes the engine internally categorize as being like one of the already known games, though.

Once your mod is complete, you can make a feature suggestion at the ZDoom forum for it to be recognized as a stand-alone game. Hacx, Harmony, Chex Quest 3, and Urban Brawl are examples.
