Vermil Posted January 25, 2016 Doomsday's all new demo format never took off (i.e was used and/or adopted) and was ultimately slowly broken and then disabled due to lack of use. While it wouldn't help with pre-source port demos, it may have allowed identification of most/all demos post source ports. It might actually be interesting to hear from Entryway what he thought was wrong with Doomsday's demo format enough for him to create PRBoom+, as a user by the name of PVS once produced an undated avi video of some Heretic demo's he recorded on Doomsday. I'm guessing the demo's would have predated PRBoom+, even taking into account PRBoom+ doesn't support Heretic.
