MidnightMage Posted July 13, 2021 (edited) I'd like to start a Doom Community Social Experiment in the same spirit as the Doom-1 project. The idea is that there are 16 squares, which can be selected by individual members of the community. Each square is 512 x 512, and you are not allowed to exceed beyond the boundary of this square. You are only allowed to modify only one square and can do anything you want in any theme you'd like as long as it is compatible with Limit Removing Ports. The adjoining sectors may be modified by participants to better transition between old and new areas whether they are made into lifts, doors or stairs. Target IWAD : DOOM2 Target source port: Crispy Doom, RUDE Resource pack: No new textures, flats, graphics, just stock Doom2 assets Submission deadline: July 23rd 2021 The last person to modify the map must add an exit to their segment. No new textures are allowed. For the sake of simplicity, only only person may modify the map at a time. Once it is edited, please post the map back in this thread and change the version (eg. AngryQuilt_v1 -> AngryQuilt_V2 -> AngryQuilt_V3 etc. etc.) ALL SPOTS HAVE BEEN FILLED. Pistoolkip Posted July 14, 2021 (edited) @MidnightMage It think it's better if all monsters are set to ambush (except teleporting ones). There is currently already some bleeding to other rooms, and most people haven't closed their rooms of with doors. Also, we can put all 3 keys somewhere on the map, then have one of the rooms have all 3 locked doors so you have to find the three keys to exit. Pistoolkip Posted July 14, 2021 (edited) Since nobody seems to be working on one, I put mine in. It's a vicious little room, with a lot of verticality. Also, I used to red key, with a locked door to room #16. I hope nobody minds. But if someone wants to add a red door to theirs, they can. @CBM you can put yours in. Somniac Posted July 14, 2021 I was gonna start on my segment this evening, however if somebody else is ahead of me I'm happy to wait. Are we aiming for a ramp-up room by room or is it anything goes?
