Gameplay

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for a little feedback, gameplay wise, on two of my wads. The reason is that my idea of a fun wad may not be everyone else's idea of a fun wad, and I want people to enjoy my later levels since I'm spending so damned much time on them.

What goes into good gameplay anyway? What elements of wad design annoy you and which make you want to keep playing?

On to the wads:

(the second one you might want to try on HMP first)

I liked the first one, but I thought the second one was just a little....umm....weird?

:)

Still, those are some pretty impressive WADs man.

Keep up the practice and you will be very good for sure!

=) (BTW, those crush my sucky WAD-making skills) =/

Hmm I'd say pacing is most important. That's one that that makes DOOM E1 so playable. VERY good pacing.

Pacing, being how the battles are set up and how frequent they are, balanced with map layout, I suppose.
