What? Those 2 golden, sprite edited weapons earlier in this thread are a real shit :b

I've added a muzzle flash to the first weapon from the thread.

Call me cleaner

Dance dance bonedaddy! >:D

Comments welcommed. Weapon mod makers-dig in.

EDIT: I *Might* make a new weapons making tutorial if I have anough time (11-12 are holidays here so I could find time).
However, ONLY if Scuba Steve allows me :B
and someone hosts it (the tutorial, not Scuba)

This is uber fascinating, I can't belive you spent about 3 hours on it...

Sure... what new technique did you use.

I've used double vanishing points (developped) perfect for holding the weapon on the side. Here however I've used single vanishing point :B

The new technique is about shading-PSP has poor shading capabilities when we discuss the dodge and burn tools (so common in Photoshop) so I've decided to shade them manually. Color was applied to a seperate layer and covered whole flesh, constructed by vanishing points ofcourse. Then manual shading was applied-darker color for darker areas etc. And smudged, as a final touch I've added a layer of a texture decrease a 8-bit like feeling (infamous "clouds" layer :)

I am concerned about the multiple stroke technique in digital painting. I have contacted an artist named Gehin (those who visit TTLG forums should be familiarised with him) and asked him about some clues on this technique.

Anyway, I'll try to fix up a tutorial :D No doubts I may fuck something up, then I must be corrected ;]
I'll try to post it somewhere around the end of the week.. We'll see.

If these are for R-one, than thats all I really want, the weapons.

Also, do you take weapon request? If so, tell meh, i've got a big strange weapon for you to make!

Bah, gotta walk the dog, here it be.

I'm tired of repeating myself. R-1 is secret and nothing will be shown. More, You will not be able to take graphics once we finish it!.. or maybe I'll change my mind, we'll see..

I might mess with this badarsed pistol.. we'll live, we'll see.

Actually, the guy who made it, got the idea from what the bad guy shoots in the movie "Showtime"

This gun can shoot .50 cal. exploive tipped rounds, and yeah, it does look like a bolter.

New weapon!
Looks like I will have to zip them all together to make a weapon pack or something :]
So far we've got (in order of appearance)
1.LDG (Large Demolition Gun)-3400
2.Laser Sniper Rifle (used in Weasel's mod)
3.Heckler and Koch G3
4.Ungarmax Assault Rifle
5.TA-Railgun..
Once we'll have 8 weapons I'll zip them for easy usage for Weapon Mod Makers.

I've named it "Tutorialis Armas", because it is the product of the tutorial to make weapons that I will post soon... :D

However, I'm not satisfied with shading here, nor contrast. I think I will go back and test another technique.

Holy shit man! I was reading the past posts, and I belived I asked you to make the gun that looks like a bolter (saiga O.I.C.W.) Before!

Also, maybe....collide em into....a mod?

P.S. put it on WW's new resource section, of course.
P.S.S. Sweet new firearm!

So which is better? The one above ^?
This one?

Or this one?

I'm confused. *_*
I'm aiming for a clean Scuba-like style, or what was presented in D3 weapons pack for Edge (too bad Kronos wasn't kind enough to reply to my PM :/)

Steve, I would really appreciate some shading tips :(

didnt use any software but win paint to do the whole thing. no lie

think what you could do with better editors!!! go get some better editors!

@Nmn- did kronos make those doom3 guns? did he draw them? If so, that guy has some serious talent. I'm using those weapons plus some others for my mouac mod(you've seen it on wip) and I must say, they're the best doom-style weapons I've ever seen.

1 easily.

More contrast = more better

Seconded. The upper one is around 13% better :) Man, are you going to release some kind of a wad with all those scrappped weapons?

Corrupt Marine- You are on a very good track. Keep up the good work mate! It looks like a very heavy rifle. I think it could use a scope there or some fancy stuff. You should work a bit with shadows on the rear barrel going off from the screen-doncha think it could use some cast shadows? Only with MS Paint? o_O I'm amazed, I wouldn't do anything with that hunk of crap or a graphic program.

Nick-I'm not really sure, I think he Re-Drawed them but the shading techniques he used are of huge professional looks. I think I'm beginning to know that tech ;)

Ravage-very atrractive looking weapons, altough I see You've used the blurring toos a little bit too much. Their contrast is kinda dimmed but look like weapons from Blood. Myself would sharpen them but do whatever You desire.

I'd really like to see a vacuum cleaner looking like the weapon of yours. And considering the fact it's Paint-made: *WOOT*

Still It needs some work; I'm not a specialist here I can only say what looks good and what doesn't. I have never ever drawn a weapon. So I can tell you, that the barrel's a bit blank. Some exhausts or other details would be good.

If You have nothing against it Corrupt I've brought some details to Your gun making it appear less as a vacuum cleaner (for some..)
This would be of big difficulty in MS Paint, thus I urge You to leave that crap and get a decent graph program.
Paint Shop Pro and Photoshop Reccomended.

I've added some really minor stuff, plus I wanted to test out my "worn metal" technique wich is very light highlighting edges of the specific parts. That good? Oh, I've added a slight sel-out.
See?
