I was thinking that "Project 94" (or DOOM: Project 94)could be a good name, since it sounds like some scientific project;

I like "DOOM: Project 94" a lot. I'll wait for other replies on what the final name will be however.

and maybe dmproj94.wad (back then it wasn't uncommon for file names to start with dm for "doom"), or just proj94.

I was actually considering the former when I first planned this idea, as I'm aware of the naming conventions used back then (and the old cover CD's I have show that as well).
