See the weapon he's holding in DM...

Is there a mod that shows each weapon the player is holding? So like if someone switches to BFG you can see that he's hauling around and firing a BFG and all the other weapons? I seem to vaguely remember this being done a long time ago, but maybe not. It would be more fun to know what weapon your opponent is holding.

A guy was working on skins for each weapon for this reason. But it was never implemented by any source port. I don't even know if he ever finished them all.

I never tried it because I never cared, but I think they used aliases and skins to make it work, and wanted ports (Legacy, at least) to implement it directly.

Doomsday and Risen3D can show what weapon a player is carrying with models I believe.
