UAC On Neptune (My Episode's Release)

I've finished working on my nameless megawad's first episode earlier than I've expected, and I also tested it in the last 2 days and now It's time to release it.
It's a 5 levels episode, maps 01-05, the maps are not large, they are short but tricky.
I've play tested it on zdoom and yesterday I tried gzdoom aswell and it looks even better.
So basically the story isn't special- the UAC worked on Neptune, and the demons ruined the project and now you have to clean the planet from the invasion.

Map descriptions and screenies:
map 01- Spawning Punks: I've already released this map a month ago, the escape routes are small so be careful especially in the outdoor areas, I used some well known traps here.

map 02- Purification spot: another small and fast map, be careful from the imps and after you grab the yellow key you should rush down before It's too late.

map 03- Desolate Base: I don't have much to say about this one, be careful from the hell knights, they are deadly if you don't find the green armor and you should kill the 2 chaingunners as soon as possible.

map 04- The Sewer's Lords: This map gonna annoy you unless you find all the secrets.

map 05- Enigmatic: The screenshot is old, there's only one secret now and It's a minor one, the map can be finished even without that secret.

Enjoy playing it, now I'm working on episode 2. I already have ideas for episodes 3&4 and I'm still thinking about 5&6, the next release will be a full release of the whole megawad and I hope to finish it in a few months.

Decent looking screenshots (though the random square patch of water in screenie 1 just looks a bit... well, random, thb). Will try this out when I get some free time!

First impression: Too many bullshit chaingunner teleports on UV. Going to try again on a lower difficulty.

I know that these chaingunners are annoying, oh well in the rest of the maps you'll encounter only 2 more chaingunners on UV and both of them are in map 3.

I imagine something extraordinary for Neptune, but this is my taste.

Screw these chaingunners, screw these revenants, screw all of this /ragequit

Takes a little trial and error. Tried this wad at a friend' place and got to 2nd map. Then I died at the very end of the map and didn't feel like restarting the map.

A couple of dickmoves from the mapper, but in the end basic fun. I'll probably give this another shot tomorrow at my place and will then know to prepare my anus a little better.

I have a few exams now and I'm currently working on a map for the forum's project of all the mappers.
I hope to start working on episode 2 in a while.

I tried this WAD a few days ago and it was fun. Besides MAP01 (which was what I played in one of your other WADs), the other maps were challenging, creative and exciting. One problem was there was a lack of ammo in MAP02 which made it hard to get 100% kills. MAP04 was a bit too complicated because of how you had to find secrets to beat the level. The part in MAP05 with all the revenants and the arch-vile was really tough yet creative. Overall I thought the WAD was fun to play nd I think you did a nice job.

I didn't have any problem to finish map 2 and I even had a few shells left, thats because I rush to the super shotgun fast and I keep the revenants alive and make sure that the hell knights kill them.
Map 2 is really challenging because It's small and the imps&mancubies can hit you everywhere.

I'm aware of it, I'm kinda new mapper so I haven't tried to fix it before, It's working on zdoom.
I usually play it with gzdoom.

A good solution to deal with the chainguners I found is to use the chainsaw and wait near where they spawnn and immediately attack them when they spawn.

Thats what I'm doing when I play it.
And in the second area with the hell knights I keep the hell knights alive and then they kill some of the chaingunners.

These were very good maps but I found the first one the hardest since it took awhile to get a gun and ammo. Still great maps.

Maybe the first one was really the hardest map because you get the super shotgun late and the map is small so the escape routes are difficult and the chaingunners are deadly if you don't have an armor.
