DOOMWORLD MEGA PROJECT 2013


Description
This project's goal is to get as many Doomworld mappers as possible to make a map for the project, from newbies to veterans. Nobody will be rejected. Here is the Doomworld Mega Project 2012.


SPECIFICS

- make a map for Doom 2

- one map per person

- any map format (vanilla, boom, g/zdoom, etc.)

- make whatever kind of map you want (theme, size, gameplay, etc.), this project is a collection of individual maps, each one made the way each mapper wants

- new music is allowed (size limit: 500 KB)

- new textures/flats are allowed, but only if you include them in your wad with a 3 character prefix, ex: TODxxxxx (and only include the textures that your map uses, don't add a whole texture pack to your map)

- if you want to use new animated textures/flats and/or switches, either include the ANIMATED or SWITCHES lumps in your wad, or replace one of the original animated/switch textures/flats and we'll sort it out at the end of 2013.

- DECORATE is allowed for new things only (sprite/sound size limit: 1 MB). Give your decorate things a 3 character prefix as well.

- DON'T use the map07 or map30 slots for your map and don't use secret exit line actions.

- The maplist will be sorted by format and then chronologically.

- ALL MAPS ARE ACCEPTED: whether they're serious maps, joke maps, tiny maps, beautiful maps, ugly maps, etc. Except for abusive maps that use scripts to change people's settings or are 1 GB while unzipped, etc.

One question: can we use DECORATE? If so, I assume replacing any stock actors is off-limits.

Edit: Got a second question. I'm gonna be doing a ZDoom map without a doubt. Assuming it's small enough, would tracker music (MOD, XM, IT, S3M) be acceptable?

The first post has been updated. I think Decorate should be allowed, but only if you use the sprites/sounds from doom2.wad and don't replace default things. Is that ok?

For music, I added a size limit of 500kb.

I think i can do this.
Eternity maps are allowed? Maping in eternity is a lot of fun, with all the cool features it have, and there are almost zero eternity only maps out there.
Custom sprites are allowed ?
