so this isn't really an update or anything like that, but, i made it so you can preview all the songs from the album (minus the bonus tracks)!

I totally love the idea, but maybe the .zip should have 3 separate directories: one for sp/ coop stuff, one for DM stuff, and one for misc. stuff such as music and graphics? Just for a very small bit of organization - the one and only thing I didn't like about my Doom Heaven CD was constantly booting up DM maps, but hoping they were SP or coop.

Other than that this idea appeals to me in every way possible. I'll be submitting all my DM stuff, if that's ok!

I agree with Doomkid's suggestion to make separate categories based on Single Player/Co-op, Deathmatch, CTF, Music, Sprites, ect...

Here is a CTF wad I made a couple of months ago called "SOCCOR CTF":http://www.mediafire.com/download/mgusui688a718ai/Socr_CTF.zip

It runs with Zandronum only. When the CTF flag limit is reached or the player exits the level, the next map will just be MAP01 again because the MAPINFO shows:

map MAP01 "Soccor_CTF"
next MAP01
sky1 SKY1 0
music "D_RUNNIN"

I will submit more to your project soon. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the map!

I also gave it a go, it's a very decent E1M1 map and I even managed to 100% it on the first run.

There is a small bug though, lowering the lift in the secret found in the nukage reveals a HOM, nothing game-breaking though.

EDIT: itwas.wad had a perfectly cheesey backstory and was a lot of fun to play. Not some ultimate challenge, just a fun oldschool Doom blast. I liked it!

Thanks for playing itwas.wad, I will definitely be making more fun 90's style maps in the future (I had fun making it and playing it).

Thanks! I have the folder divided into seperate IWAD folders, then wad types (Level wads, music wads and presumably resource wads with textures and stuff), i could split level wads into DM and SP.

Added Soccor_CTF to the collection.

Excellent! Thanks for adding mine to the collection mrthejoshmon. Just to let you know, one of my maps is in Doomkid's Zmatch 2014 (MAP02 Space Station). I also left a review of your itwas.wad on idgames.

I tried to mimic those early "realistic" maps for Doom 2 and top it with some cheap readme.txt magic. Thing was tested on GZDoom and PrBoom+ but it should run on any limit-removing source port. I left most of mapping mistakes on purpose (I wanted players to feel like they were playing a 1997 WAD) but please let me know about every other bug that should be fixed.

Also, PrBoom+ rendered this map a bit too dark, while GZDoom (on default redner settings) worked just fine. I don't know if it's a case of my setup or I did something wrong...

It took a long time to make also, like I wanted to make sure it was really playable... Not many issues, but there is issues.

Map Map15 is my favourite map, the way it turned out, the way it feels, the song is Smashing Pumpkins Eye, a beautiful song that really fits the map

Nice mapset, DoomRenegade! I don't found any kind of big trouble in your maps, but i don't really loved the intermission music and i don't get what these things are:



And, worrior that map was TOO SPOOKY!!!!11!1!

No, seriously, it's a cool map too, really resembles a lot of 1996 map, good job! Just put some scary music on it and it could be way better! (Actually, i played this with IDMUS 30 and it worked fine)

They are suppose to represent pill bottles xD cause I use stuff like I always wanted to use them since I played psycho phobia,but anyways thanks
Oh and that floor has a minor texture glitch, with the lava

It's really hard to notice, but it caught my eye when I was testing it... It was the texture is through the floor... Any ideas on how to fix that if I run into it again? Just pm me if you can

You may have bumped an old topic but it's still a cool idea, I'd submit my maps but they are very much unfinished....well they work from start to finish but I have yet to finish up difficulty levels, multiplayer co-op aspects and some cosmetic stuff....

If this topic stays up I'll keep it in mind, not many people know of my stuff because I haven't released anything before....so this should be a cool idea to try.
