No offense, but even for a speedmap, this is pretty bad.

I did not live long enough to see the exit because of making a dumb mistake, but this map is bad. No offense man, not some advice:

1. Be sure to give enough ammo, even in speedmaps
2. Give enough health
3. Don't make your gameplay slaughter; try to make it difficult without 60 Imps attacking you from 5 angles
4. Be careful with linedefs and their flags
5. Be sure to detail a map, not just make some sectors. Yes, I get that KDITD was bland visually but it was still nicer to look at.

Good map, good map! I like it! The only thing is that I couldn't record a demo because I kept dying shooting rockets in my own face! But I liked your map, as much of it as I could see.

Not even sure if this could be accepted due to the fact that passed the alfonzo zone of a little, but...

Knee-Deep in the ass!
Build Time: 3 hours and 15 minutes, with a pause for lunch
Music: E1M6 (not in the wad because i'm horrible)
Theme: Doom Episode 1 fell (with a Doom 2 E1 style near the end too!), High-tier monster
Compatibility: limit-removing

I like this map!

It isn't hard, but it has more HOMs than a man has weak spots! That's the only bad thing. The other thing is that most of the enemies don't face you. Also that switch doesn't work so I was stuck. I don't think the level is beatable. Try and fix it if it's stuck.

1.There's enough ammo, I can exit the map with 100 bullets and a shell after killing all enemies.

2.There's more than enough health, I even left a stimpack untouched and left the level with 100% HP.

3.You have loads of rockets, loads of cells and loads of shells and the coresponding weapons, that shouldn't be hard, and besides, this map isn't slaughterfest.

4.You've been playing in the wrong compability, so the caco's didn't fall into the ground at the start.

5.If I get in time for round 2, then I'll detail it.

For each of the two rounds, maps must be completely new and not based on anything prior, so sorry, but you can't detail your map from the first round. Also, if you participate in round two, please make sure you only start mapping 15 minutes after the themes are announced (you jumped the gun for this round). The first 15 minutes are present for gathering resources (music for example) and planning your map. Good luck, and I hope to catch your stream if you do one!

ROUND 2 IS GO

To recap the themes:
1. Textural theme of Episode 1 of Doom (Knee-Deep in the Dead) - in celebration of Romero's new map!
2. Higher-tier monsters and weapons (not exclusively, just mainly, so essentially we get Doom 1 maps with lots of Doom 2 items)
3. All vertices must conform to the 32x32 grid. Lines can still be slanted. Things don't need to conform.

And your bonus theme!

4. Horseshoe layout à la E1M1 (Hangar). This means you should be able to see the exit room, (or the area just before the exit) from the start room. You can also make a backtracky layout in the style of E3M9 (Warrens), so the exit is in the start room, if you wish.

And for clarity, WE ARE STILL USING THE DOOM 2 IWAD.
