Post here links to non-linear wads that have several separated routes from start where one route alters the path of other route.

A switch in cacodemon's room opens 1/2 of secret area with hordes of demons and soulsphere. Maybe it's not the essential part of this map, but I liked it.

I recall playing one a long time ago (not sure of the wad file it's associated with atm) whereas one of the early 'traps' has you fighting a ledge of revs and imps surrounding a toxin pool, forcing the player to go into an alcove to hide and triggering a Chaingunner ambush within..

They exist.

Suitcase of Gor, a set inspired by Doom 2 maps, has a cool MAP08 tribute.

I never really liked the layout of MAP08. I'm not sure id ever seriously consider making a tribute to it. Though I do think starting in a hub room with 8 identical doors suits the name well.
