  2. Welcome to a list of doom mapping tricks I learned in a day, where I tell you some interesting mapping tricks I will use for 1995.wad /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ 1. Transitional textures -This won't require a photo editor for the star textures- We all know what transitions are, we use them a bunch when changing wall textures, using the doortrak texture, but what if I told you that it's not required, you can blend in part of the image to look like It's changing walls, like for example, half of the wall is grey and the other half is brown, /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ 2. Fake sector over sector So this one is easy, just grab your photo editor and cut whichever part you want to look alligned, then place it into slade as a new texture then apply it to your map, it won't look as good if it's high, unless you connect it to the ceiling, apply the floor or ceiling texture for what you want the texture to be, I learned this truck looking at Plutonia 3 /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ 3. Doom 3-like entrance teleportation So you know in doom 3 where imps and other enemies enter through a portal like thing? This one is easy, make a fake inaccessable wall for the player , where sound can pass through, and let them move to the teleporter once they get a sound signal /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ That concludes this random amount of tips using 50/50 image editing and map making, stay safe out there fellow doomers and goodbye

Oh, let me explain it, you need a photo editor that supports transparency for this, so you need to grab or make a texture, then you cut out what you want to look like as a sector over sector object, then you raise the floor or lower the roof, lowering the roof wont work with skies, and then you apply the texture, you may want to add a flat, depending on whether the ceiling or floor is lower or higher, thinking about it now, it wont always work

    What's the worst port of Doom?

    Well first of all its the lighting, it drives me insane about how the dark areas don't give the fear vibe as much, for me the control delays a small bit too, the sound with my version for the chainsaw sounds like sound on top of sound, the soundfont is off, random sound pitches, and for me it gets really laggy at times, but its worth it cause I now own no rest for a living

    Bringing back the Chaingunner

    I would rather like to see how they would bring the fire extinguisher from DOOM RPG to DOOM Eternal, guess that leaves our imagination, unless DOOM does some DOOM all-stars like Nintendo did with Mario in 1993. I also got to be honest here I do not have Eternal, waiting until I beat 2016 to buy it.

    Best Final Doom OSTs?

    I usually play final doom with the PSX soundtrack if I have a heavily modifiable source port in my hands, that or I play it on a PlayStation emulator
  10. 1995.wad is a recreation of the ultimate doom, the only new thing here is new levels, it will have common quality of life changes, here are some screenshots, e1m1 being recreated and progress running on chocolate doom, want to request a change for the ultimate doom levels? List them here!
  11. Yet again I am still keeping most of it in, by unnecessary I mean like one baron and I am moving the entire maze, but turning half the Spectres into pinkies.

    Gzdoom title screen resolution won't change

    All I can say is that you can probably find a wad that changes the title screen resolution for all the built in games, and you can try messing with the settings to fix that stretched ingame problem
  16. I personally use aseprite, easy editing and a palette already set up for you, including being able to use custom palettes

    Everytime I try and work on a texture it does not fit in the doom style, do you have any tips on texturing for doom?
