Dehacked isn't too hard to master, sure it looks a bit unorganized at firat, but you'll learn along the way.

It's a pretty reasonable explanation that it's the Masterminds telepathy, at least in Ultimate Doom, the consequences are suffered throughout Doom II, but the Masterminds in there seem to more reasonably be considered "Spiderdemons" as they're a "common" enemy, same can be said for Thy Flesh Consumed. The reason you didn't see anyajor techbase changes in Doom 3 is probably because there isn't a mastermind to warp it. HOWEVER, it can be excused in the reboot games because of the Makyr tech.

Legally, I'm pretty sure, but morally, no. It's an original asset, not derivative of anyone's work. However, money for one map? What are you, D!Zone? The map better be one hell of an experience, like myhouse. Don't forget you'll still have to pay for an official iwads, to run it. The reason why standalone games like REKKR or Hedon are allowed to sell is because they don't use copyrighted assets.

Problem with this though is that on software renderers, the midtexture renders past the wall.

Pick up the Catacombs pack on GOG for $5.99! Catacomb 3D is a very primitive game, it takes 2D mapping styles into consideration, but forces you into a first person perspective, with mandatory "secrets", at least they're hinted at better than Wolfenstein 3D. THE COMBAT THE MAZES THE ENEMIES Yeah, small review, probably should've took notes throughout the game. It was fun however, sure most of the enemies were melee only or filler, but I did have a good time, and I bet you will too. 6/10, final rating.

REKKR is technically a Doom 1 Wad, though more-so Ultimate Doom because it uses replacements for the Doom 2 bestiary.

Ooh, I remember using this technique for that one texture that transitions from orange to tan, to make it a single color.

I don't understand how those two scrolls are connected, but it is obvious by your second playthrough cause the portal isn't touching a wall or corner.

Games are still being sold, they're not abandonware, they're even cheap as hell for $10 for the entire classic collection. It'd be reasonable to pirate a game like Alley Cat, or Dune II as they're not accessible anymore, but to pirate Doom and Wolfenstein, both cheap games, is foolish at best. Piracy isn't cool and isn't glamourful.

Is there any major differences, or minor differences in the songs, and not the titles and such?
