mmnpsrsoskl Posted June 17, 2002 Whenever I try to view patches/flats/graphics in Wintex, they are all screwed up, the colours are all wrong. Can someone help? 0 Share this post Link to post
Csabo Posted June 17, 2002 I'm not sure why WinTex does that. I developed an alternative to WinTex called XWE. It does almost all the things WinTex does, it's small and it's free. And since it's still actively developed, if you have any problems, I can try to fix it. http://doomworld.com/xwe 0 Share this post Link to post

Csabo Posted June 17, 2002 So if you open the same WAD file with XWE, does it also have a problem with the colors? 0 Share this post Link to post

If the colours are all wrong, it's usually because you have the wrong game selected (eg. viewing DooM graphics with Heretic selected). I know 'cos I've done it a few times. The only problem I have with WinTex is you can't create pnames lists, so I have to use nwt for that. 0 Share this post Link to post
mmnpsrsoskl Posted June 18, 2002 Well what do you know? It worked... Oops. And no it has no problems in XWE...so yeah. I XWE to view and extract graphics from all games except Doom, don't know why, since yeah XWE supports 10 times more games... 0 Share this post Link to post
