On the 2023.02.06 a Kazakh player Slig established the NEW WORLD RECORD in Doom (2016) in the Legacy category and managed to do that in 59:50.45 LRT! Congratulations! 🏆

On the 2023.04.10 🇺🇸 WaveClipping established one even more world record, this time in the category Any% Ultra-Nightmare. The run is done in 17:53.50 LRT and 19:56 RTA.

❕ It seems that the runs on all the difficulties in the category Any% for Doom (2016) on speedrun.com are now all put in the same table. To select specific difficulties, you should apply one of the filters in the "Filters" section in the "Difficulty" sub-section. Also, the only time that is shown in the leaderboard for this category is now the LRT.

 

Either way, on the 2023.04.24 🇺🇸 WaveClipping broke their own world record in the category Any% on the Ultra-Nightmare difficulty, making it 17:22.97 LRT, which is about a 31 second improvement! The previous run had been done on the Ultra-Nightmare difficulty setting as well.

On the 2023.04.24 Raitro established the new world record in the category 100%/Ultra-Nightmare. The run is done in 2:07:45 LRT, which is a 2 minute 43.5 second improvement over the previous record by 🇰🇿 Slig.

On the 2023.04.29 🇫🇷 SeekerTV established the new, now already former world record in the category Any% on the Ultra-Nightmare difficulty. This is equally the new (former) world record for all difficulties combined. The run is done in 17:07.68 LRT, which is about a 7 minute 15 second improvement over the previous record by 🇳🇱 Daravae on the Ultra-Nightmare difficulty and about a 45 second improvement over the previous record by 🇺🇸 Nyht on the Classic difficulty.

Just like the now former SeekerTV's record, this one is equally the new world record for all difficulties combined, too.

Is there any world record for the LONGEST gameplay ever? I'm playing the game since 2018 and haven't finished it yet. At least I'm backtracking all the previous maps looking for all the secrets and goodies.

The run is done in 16:55.89 LRT, which is about a 2 second improvement over the previous record by 🇺🇸 WaveClipping. This run is equally the new world record for all difficulties combined.
