sj414 Posted May 7, 2005 In DoomBuilder, is there way to: a) split a linedef without needing to align the new vertex to the grid (a la DEU/DCK)? b) manually change a vertex's X/Y values? c) automatically load the last edited PWAD, or at least set it up in Windows so I can associate the WAD filetype with DB and load them that way? 0 Share this post Link to post

You can just find the most recent wads under the file menu, below 'test map' and above 'exit', its fast enough. 0 Share this post Link to post
Bucket Posted May 12, 2005 Not sure if these are the exact answers you want, but... A) You can go into Vertex Mode and right-click on any linedef. A vertex will appear in the middle of the now-split linedef. B) It seems that you can't pull up Vertex properties, but you can turn off Snap To Grid from the main menu and use Vertex Mode to drag it around, using the X and Y coordinates shown at the bottom of the screen as a reference. C) Go into a directory, find a WAD, and right-click it. You should see an option called "Open With..." If you don't, then just try Open (if you haven't set a WAD to be opened by another program, you'll get an error message-- ignore it). You'll be presented with a list of programs, but Doom Builder probably won't be on the list. You'll have to Browse to whatever directory it's in and select BUILDER.EXE. Now you're good to go. Alternatively (more useful if another program opens WADs), you can go into any directory, select Tools from the main menu, and click on Folder Options. There'll be a File Types tab, where WAD should be listed there near the bottom. You can browse for Doom Builder here, and also change Advanced stuff like the icon and additional command-line parameters (you shouldn't need any, though). 0 Share this post Link to post
