    At first I thought it was a design choice. It may be your settings or just your source port in general. I don't think re-drawing it would help, but I'm not really the guy to ask.
  3. My (embarrassingly buggy) map used teleports for the beginning and exit, is this breaking rule 1? I also wanted to ask you if your episode would have a secret map or not.

    What about unrealistic toilets? Doom doesn't have any of those? Less sarcastically Towninfection had several bathrooms with toilets, showers, and working mirrors. Cool shit (no pun intended).

    This is some interesting stuff you've got here. The models/sprites look really cool. Can't wait to see more.
  7. What about a special kind of berserk pack that would slow down time and distort the players vision but one punch insta gibs enemies, like in Doom 3?
  8. @40oz That helps a bit. I appreciate it. I'll find another port to test on, as well as update my map again. I apologize for the inconvenience.
  9. I use an old version of GZDoom. When I mean old I mean a version from 2010 at oldest. But I'm not so sure what version it may be. I use it because it's the only source port I have plus its been working well for me so I'm fine with it. Though, when it comes to ports, you can say I'm quite... uneducated. If there's any tips or something I need, I'm all ears.

This one also has difficulty levels. I'm keeping the name "Hell's Kitchen". @joe-ilya. You said one of the Hell Knights were stuck under a hanging body? That's odd because it functioned normally when I tested it(if we're talking about the same one).
  11. Just finished up mine. Titled Hell's Kitchen(unofficial). It's heavily inspired by maps 13 and 15 of Doom 2. http://www.mediafire.com/download/rd1r498cx7j04dg/HKitch.wad Difficulty levels haven't been implemented yet. EDIT: There are a couple small things that need fixing, I'll post an updated one with difficulty levels shortly.

    I never really knew if it was just a me thing or other people actually have the same... I'll say, problem. I've only made a full play though on Doom 2 a handful of times, and well you get the idea. @cell No comment.

    I prefer Doom over Doom 2 because of the level design. I don't like Doom 2's level design one bit. I've never found the exit to map 15 "Industrial zone" in Doom 2. I've always went through the secret exit.
  14. I want to say either engine limitations or they didn't code it properly. Regardless it's kind of irritating.
  15. Yeah it should. One of my biggest pet peeves of DooM.
  16. 1. Arachnotron - Krang with legs and a plasma rifle. I love the death sound. 2. Revenant - A skeleton with a missle launcher. Genius. 3. Arch-Vile - Just something about it. 4. Baron of Hell - One of the few who are intimidating. 5. Cacodemon - It's fun to smash pumpkins into small piles of putrid debris. 6. Hell Knight - A pale version of the Baron. 7. Mancubus - The obese population from hell. I sometimes see them at fast food joints. (just kidding) 8. Chaingunner - The best of the zombies. Tough, and challenging. 9. Demon - I used to be scared sh*tless cause of this guy. Still scary in tight corners. 10. Spectre - see above. 11. Imp - I see this guy every where, on every turn, in almost every level. 12. Shotgun guy - Somewhat decent for cannon fodder. 13. Cyberdemon - A baron with a rocket launcher. Lost its authenticity in DooM 2. 14. Spider Mastermind - Not scary, never was, never will be. 15. Zombieman - Serves no purpose but to be there. I guess. 16. Lost soul - Dear satan, why do you exist? 17. Pain Elemental - see above. 1. SSG - The most satisfying gun in the game in my opinion. 2. Rocket Launcher - Because gibs. 3. Fists(berserk) - There's just something about being Trent Reznor and giving a demon a fist fu- Never mind. Rip and tear. 4. Chainsaw - self explanatory. 5. BFG 9k - Unsatisfying but fun to use. 6. Shotgun - Not really satisfying for a shotgun. 7. Pistol - Sadly underrated - for a reason. To bad it couldn't be used more. 8. Chaingun - I don't find it fun to use. 9. Plasma rifle - Unsatisfying, and I never use it because I want to save ammo (for some reason).
  17. Special gloves that make your fists silent. That would be wonderful.
  18. I'd take it more as "something different" for gameplay sake. I can see rules like this as a way for more interesting level design. Otherwise it could(would) ruin an entire map.
