Any thing that I can do OUTSIDE of snapmap? Otherwise, what can I do inside of snapmap that's cool?
-
Will this game even be as popular as the original Doom?
-
I wonder if it's possible to have a mod where all of the Possessed demons wield a pistol, to make the game more harder. And maybe make it so that the pistol uses the same ammo as the chaingun / heavy assault rifle.

Holy shit PC is doing worst than XBOXONE and PS4...

What do you mean by creating .resource files? Like WADS?
-
True, the hallway/bend/junction pieces are too large to be considered that. The thing I was hoping was that you could use smaller pieces to make larger rooms, so that it could be more randomized, but I feel as if they were trying to market the "open area" aspect to not look like COD.

This is why we need a Room editor / model importer for PC. At least make it so that you can make / edit rooms on PC, then use them on snapmap in maps and then upload them for evereybody else to use.
-
I assume they use smoke or volumes made to look like skies.

The maps look more like a Team Fortress 2 map in early alpha or classic doom. The best part about this "brush" technique is that it doesn't take alot of memory/cpu/network space up so you can use it extensively. The only rooms you need to place are the observation rooms.

All you need is the same Music from nuts.wad (Kashmir) and you're golden. Except the 13 monster limit.

Probably because they're too young to die. Wait, we all are.
-
They've already made a resource extractor. All we need to deal with now is megatextures.
-
That gave me cancer.

At least prefab editors for snapmap.
-
Any mods that change difficulty, gameplay, and models yet? Will there be anything like that?

Jesus what happened to his hair... Mark isn't normal. -
Todd Howard. gg

Well, on the bright side... At least you can emulate the loading times it took to install classic Doom back then.
-
If you look at the Steam Reviews, they all seem to be praising it.

Ancient Aliens - final version on idgames

...Should it work with Brutal Doom? Is it even recommended with Brutal Doom? -
Wolf3D was NOTHING in Doom's shadow.

The original Doom editors weren't official. They were hacked on.

Enemies did not respawn (Unless nightmare) in classic Doom.

My Theory: Doom 1, Doom 2, and TNT / Plutonia (Including canon classic WADS) already happened and Doomguy is put in stasis by UAC. Eventually everything clears up on Earth and things are back to normal. Hell clears out, and Humanity is restored. Doom 3 takes place, this time on Mars because it's 2 moons are fucked. The Marine you see in that game has nothing to do with Doomguy and is another separate character. Speed up a few decades, and things are cleaned up on Mars. They re-establish bases on Mars, and they re-discover hell. Doom (2016) happens 100 years after Classic Doom, where Doomguy is revived and kills demons again because the exec's at UAC are retarded. I made it very simple because the game's story is something that was tacked on. It's more about fighting satanic hellspawn, not really about story.

The original doom had 9 levels per episode. That would make for 27 levels, which was still alot for the game. The new Doom has 13+ hours of content. I'm sure we'll get 20 - 27 levels worth.
