The publish a snap map achievement was probably a bad idea
dfsp_spirit replied to julz_d's topic in Doom 2016
They should just make a checkbox "I publish this trash only for the achievement". If checked, player gets achievement and map gets deleted. -
Game runs perfectly here at 1920x1080 on an i5-2400 with a geforce 970.

I also have an i5-2400. And my gfx card also was too shabby to run Doom (Radeon HD 6870). I talked to people and they said the processor should be fine, just get a new gfx card. My new 970 arrives tomorrow, I will let you know how Doom works with it and the i5-2400 if you are interested. (It also turned out that my PSU has too much power, even with the new card. It is a 650W unit -- I'm actually considering to downgrade it to a quiet 450W unit.)

PC, for $60. Then had to order a new $300 video card to play it. But I don't regret it.

Rage also runs perfectly on my i5-2400 with the hd 6870. So do all other games I have -- with the exception of Doom.

Anybody know the option to start multiplayer mode directly? (Most likely something like +set fs_game <something>, I guess.)

Can't really play it on an i5-2400 CPU with a Radeon HD 6870, too slow. I ordered a GeForce 970 to fix it. According to messages in other forums, the CPU should be ok. Will report back when I got the card and it still does not work. UPDATE: Runs perfectly with i5-2400 and the 970.
