I think alot of the lack of women here, and I'm probably gonna get slagged for this, but is due to the following reasons. First of all, although there have been women in gaming since the begining (i.e. Doom, Wolf) its still a relatively new thing. I mean if you look at the stats the amount of female gamers has probably risen quite a lot since '93. Which means they're all playing the new games. And if you think about it, if you were new to games today, would you go back and play some archaic game like Doom? Or would you gravitate towards the eyecandy of Halflife or Q3A??? I thought so, HL it is. I think in order to still fully appreciate Doom, you need to have grown up on it. You can't really start playing it after having seen graphically better games. And seeing as the female gaming phenomenon is fairly new, they don't really have any desire to revert back to Doom, although they should. S./

It screams of Unreal, looks to fluid and non-sterile to be HL2. And it just doesn't have a doom feel to it. The darkness and as someone said, the lense flares reek of Unreal. S./

Personally I'm fond of C-Up, its not actually a cola drink, in fact its so cheap and noname that its earned the name amongst my friends as Welf-Up. (welf for welfare) but whatever, its still pretty good. I like cock, er... coke S./

I for one was really pleased to hear that Trent (Reznor) was doing the music for Doom 3. This had better work out, unlike stupid KMFDM/Prey, which I was really looking forward to that... Dammit... Even though I wasn't that impressed with Quake's music, I think Trent is gonna do a great job. I also think it would be better if someone just came around and totally redid Bobby Prince's (http://www.bpmusic.com) original music for Doom (maybe with some new stuff though). That would be excellent, I mean imagine map09 (refuelling base) redone with the actual guitars. I've been dreaming about that one since '96. This is just an oppinion, what do you guys think? You know what's great, that thing from the official Doom FAQ by Hank Leukart. You remember that, the thing at the very end, the DooM InSaNiTy section, not the night before doom poem, but that "dialogue transcript" of the demons addressing Earth, that was great.. especially then "shut up or I'll missile your head too" does anyone know where I could find that..??
