If you feel meaninglessness, you need to seek meaningfulness. It usually goes a little bit something like this: "What obvious truths about your reality don't you want to acknowledge?" and then "what if I did what I found meaningful?". It is usually not the thing your mind "want to do" but what your being thrives in doing. Can recommend books like "Man's search for meaning".
I know the suffering - it need not be there. Get angry, solve some shit, and get out of the rut.
From personal experience, I felt that I was trapped by a foregone dream.
