I'm wondering if that black-screen issue is a GL prog problem. As I recall, there was some heavy GL prog use and those things didn't port very well from one card/brand to another. GL progs wasn't my department, but that might be worth looking into.

every time a person commits code or art or anything to their repository. read up on basic revision control. they probably use Subversion or CVS.

oh, well "re-released the recently released 1.9.7" gave a distinct impression that they just repackaged it as the same version, like the same exact package name.

it's always a shame to see someone leave a project, but is understandable. hopefully he's not leaving the community.

also, enemies don't have hit-boxes in doom3. you actually have to hit the model of the creature with your projectiles. I suppose a hit-box type dealie could be implemented because hellions (the 'dog' things) really are hard to hit..

Quasar, And anyone having bad bugs - you can email me the savegame file and an explanation of what the bug is or (preferably) how to repeat it once loading your save game. I can debug from there and hopefully squash these bugs for the next release. hexen.eoc.team at gmail dot com

for anyone else having this problem, the cause is having pk4s from other mods loading. see this thread: http://www.hexenmod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=410 any problems, suggestions, praises, fomplaints, or flames are welcome on those forums.

I see. I should take up modelling and make some better monster models. I can't wait to see levels made specifically to explout this lighting feature :-D

how does the lighting interact with sprites? does it cast shadow in the shape of the sprite or does it just pass through?
