Just wanted to say very impressive job making such well-researched music for a humble DooM mod of all things!

Happened in the Northern room with the minecart track-looking structures. Also attached: E4M9's ocean not working right on GZDoom (I've also seen it work wrong with some other source ports).

Hmmmm, what "classic" source port would folks recommend for this? I want something as close to vanilla as possible but without the limits of vanilla DooM, because I tried it with Chocolate Doom and got a visplane error on E1M2. As for the mod itself, this is spectacular and despite visibly being built on DooM's framework feels like something wholly different thanks to the extensive Dehacked work and clever level design---I love some of the puzzles for feeling more like something out of Myst or the like. Well done!

Plain jane Ultimate DooM Episode 2 with Brutal DooM. E2M4 is a scary place now.

IIRC someone at the ZDoom forums was working on a Resident Evil-style mod. Haven't seen many updates for it lately, though.

I wonder if it'd be feasible to play DooM this way with the Real Guns Hardcore mod, preferably on the Tactics difficulty where everyone can only carry two guns by default.

Say what you will about Halo, playing it in co-op on Heroic or Legendary is a helluva ride. Also, Call of Duty Black Ops was pretty good. Better than Modern Warfare 2 IMHO by far. Less game breakers in multiplayer, and a singleplayer mode that wasn't completely bugnuts crazy and/or trying to troll moral guardians nearly as much. Also had one of the best uses of Rolling Stones' "Sympathy for the Devil" I've ever heard.

Well, so much for me buying a PS3 for Demon's Souls anytime soon. I swear all of this nonsense is a circus.

Gee, awfully bitter here, people. :/ (Then again, I haven't owned a console since the Gamecube out of sheer boredom.) Kinda agree about the Portal 2 marketing blitz being overwhelming. At least I have yet to be bombarded with memes so far

Ah, okay. Fair enough. I am more fond of sandboxy stuff like Deus Ex and Garry's Mod anyway when it comes to modern games.
